Food trucks are becoming more and more popular with couples looking to forego the “traditional” for something fun and non-conventional.
Food trucks offer couples a creative way to incorporate an old staple into their wedding reception, while highlighting the personal food tastes of the bride and groom.
For couples watching their budget but still wanting their guests to experience something creative, food trucks offer a lot of flexibility when it comes to selection. Don’t be quick to dismiss truck food as greasy budget food that lacks flavour and offers a limited selection. Food trucks offer a selection of vegetarian, vegan, ethnic and comfort foods and because many trucks are small businesses, most are receptive to personalizing a menu and customize the service to fit your wishes.
If however, you want to appease “the traditionalists” and provide a more formal reception meal, a food truck can still provide something unique for your guests. For example, a food truck can offer guests snacks and refreshments in between your ceremony and the reception and after a night of celebrating and dancing “your meal on wheels caterer” can serve up a midnight desert and fun bites.
For some of your guests, your reception may be the first time they’ve enjoyed the “comfort food” experience since their parents took them to the ball game years ago. Food trucks might not always be suitable for a traditional wedding, but they’re ideal for the more casual and relaxed celebrations – and usually much less expensive than traditional catering.
