A little bit about me…
First of all, congratulations on your engagement! I have just celebrated 40 years of marriage with my best friend and can testify that marriage is a wonderful experience. It would be an honour and delight to be a part of your wedding day celebration.
My Personal Story:
I was raised on a farm in southern Ontario, where community and charitable activities were instilled as an integral part of family life.
After working in the energy sector for over 20 years, I changed career paths to pursue my calling as a non-denominational community chaplain. Since then I have launched two charitable organizations.
My Family:
My wife and I enjoy spending time with our two adult sons, daughter-in-law and our delightful three-year-old granddaughter. We enjoy travelling, cottage life, and spending time with our family and friends in warm climates.
My Experiences:
Having officiated many weddings, I feel blessed and enriched by experiencing a wide variety of traditions that couples bring to their celebration. I have had the privilege of officiating at weddings featured on ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ as well as ‘Style Me Pretty’.

We first learned about Enduring Promises and Officiant Ron Shantz through our friends. Our experience has been nothing but amazing since day one. Ron was responsive, patient, and kind – he was able to respond all our questions with informative answers and helpful suggestions.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we had decided to do a simple outdoor ceremony, however we did not have a venue at the time. After voicing out concerns, Ron generously offered his backyard as our venue and it’s beyond what we had expected – a charming and cozy oasis with beautiful landscaping and thoughtful touches throughout.
