THE question has been asked and answered, the dress purchased, the venue, photographer and musicians booked but you have a sense that something‘s missing. Oh yeah, you need someone to Officiate your wedding ceremony.  But where to begin?

My husband and I recently purchased a car. Before making our decision we spent several weeks asking anyone we knew who had gone through the same process if they had any advice or recommendations.

When all was said and done, we purchased from a dealership recommended to us by a friend. Bottom line, ask your friends about their experiences. Would they recommend their Officiant? If they would, that would be a great place to start.

There are many people involved in a wedding celebration. Some of the more visible participants include wedding planners, event coordinators, musicians, florists, waiters, photographers, videographers and of course the Officiant. In order to deliver a stress-free ceremony, all of these professionals must work for “Team Bride/Groom”, each working together to insure that the Bride and Groom fully enjoy one of the most important and intimate celebrations of their lives.

This is where third-party reviews will again prove beneficial. What do other wedding professionals say about the Officiant you are considering? Is the Officiant easy to work with or is s/he more concerned with photo-bombing every shot of the Bride and Groom? Is s/he a team player?

When I am asked where to look for in a wedding Officiant, I suggest that engaged couples check third party review sites.  Review sites and ratings marketplaces focus on integrity – providing a professional quality, highly trusted experience for their users. So check them out, you’ll be glad you did!
