As exciting as your engagement is, it kicks off a process of budgeting and planning that rivals the planning for the first moon landing. One of the first and most important decisions that anyone needs to make is whether or not they need a wedding planner. Here are some factors to consider when determining if you need some help organizing for your special day.
An emergency? – Don’t worry, its covered!
As most engaged couples have no first hand knowledge of the ins and outs of wedding planning, they may want to consider hiring a wedding planner. Not only will your planner make sure that thing are done on schedule, but they will make sure that you understand everything that you are facing (e.g. contracts, agreements, etc.). Wedding planners are not just involved in the behind-the-scenes planning. They are also very involved on your wedding day, as they oversee the entire event from supervising suppliers to troubleshooting emergencies.
What is your budget?
One of the things that wedding planners are often able to do is help obtain discounts. Because wedding planners work with certain businesses on a regular basis, they may be able to obtain discounts on items that are not available to people outside the wedding industry. Although there is an expense involved in hiring a wedding planner, a good planner will most likely save you money in the long run.
Want an inside opinion of the wedding industry?
One of the challenges that many couples who are planning weddings face, is finding suppliers which may be able to take care of all of their individual needs. Finding the perfect wedding venue, catering service, DJ and even photographer can be quite difficult and very time consuming. What’s often even more difficult, is finding the services/vendors that fit your budget. A wedding planner will help find the services you require at the right price.
Is life just to hectic?
If you are just so busy working that planning your wedding day seems overwhelming, chances are you should think about hiring a planner to help reduce the stress. Staying on top of the small details is vital to the enjoyment of your wedding day – and that’s exactly what wedding planners are trained to do. Wedding planners e also a great objective, second opinion when you need it.
These are just some of the things that you may want to consider when making the decision of whether or not to hire a wedding planner. Did you use a wedding planner for your special day? If so, please share your story with other couples trying to make this all important decision!
