It is getting more and more difficult these days to find just the right thank you gift for your wedding party. Your gift not only acknowledges their contribution to the planning and preparation of your special day, but also recognizes the friendship, support and love they have extended to you over the years. Understandably, your appreciation is not easily expressed in a couple of small gifts, but we offer the following suggestions for your consideration.

Do you choose traditional gifts like engraved pens or jewellery, or do you personalize your gifts for each member of the wedding party? Whatever you choose, your gift should be reflective of your personalities, the depth of your friendship and should fit into your wedding budget.

At a recent wedding for one of our couples, bright red Converse shoes with the names of each groomsman sewn into the shoe were the chosen gift to the men. Each lady on the other hand, received a manicure and pedicure the day before the wedding. In addition to these gifts, consider taking your Best man and Maid of Honour out for dinner a few days before the wedding to thank them for all they have contributed to your special day.

Some other ideas we have come across include:

• Handmade jewellery

• Photo albums filled with pictures of special memories you have shared together over the years

• Tickets to a concert or a sporting event that you can enjoy togethe

• How about a plant or a bonsai tree
