A Little Bit About me ….

Congratulations on your engagement!  What an exciting time you have ahead of you as you plan your new lives together.  I have been officiating weddings for nearly twenty years and am a licensed Officiant in the province of Ontario.

I love to see how I can walk with couples toward a ceremony that reflects who they are and is a celebration of a new life together.

My Personal Story ….

I was born in Brampton, Ontario but moved around southern Ontario throughout my childhood learning new things and enjoying making many friends along the way.  It turned me into an adventurer of sorts.  I went to college and seminary receiving a Masters of Divinity degree.

My Family ….

I have three amazing boys who are married to three amazing women.  Although they all live a distance away, from Vancouver Island to Nova Scotia and Michigan, I am now enjoying being a grandfather and covering the distance to spend time with them.

My Life Experience ….

I have enjoyed a wide range of careers all over Canada and the United States, including working with youth and church ministry as well as web development, editing, journalism and even some time as a bonafide cowboy.

I support endeavors that seek to grow community and bring healing among people especially those marginalized by society.  To me everyone has value and needs a place to belong and be loved. 

My Interests & Passions ….

I enjoy time with family, good friends, good food and a good cigar.  I am certainly a foody as well as an adventure motorcyclist putting lots of kilometers on my bike, camping and getting out into God’s country.

I also love music and playing gigs on my guitars and harmonicas whenever I can, particularly in the roots blues genre.  AND, my love for horses has never wavered.

AND…. Books… good books… Can’t forget the arts…..
